David Armstrong

David works in water media, primarily acrylics. His paintings have an abstract quality while still pictorial and his themes are both rural and urban. David says "Whether it be a landscape or a figure study, it's the combination of contrast and colour that attract me." David studied at the Ontario College of Art and the Art Center, Los Angeles in the sixties. After living and painting in B.C. for several years, he returned with his family to Ontario to live in Guelph where he has his studio.
